Homemade Honey And Brown Sugar Body Scrub

DIY Brown Sugar and Honey Body Scrub

I love body scrubs and always do myself the service of getting a ton when I go to store.  Body scrubs are great for exfoliating the skin. I have taken interest in homemade skin care product lately as I am getting concerned about what I put on my skin. If you have read my daily skin care routine, then you know I am all about easy and no complication.

This scrub was perfect for me because it is quite easy to make.  The good thing about this scrub is that you can use this scrub on the entire body.  I tried it and was happy with the result.  I love how it leaves my skin soft and smooth .

This body scrub contains just natural ingredients and these are ingredients you typically have in your pantry. You need just brown sugar and honey.

I prefer to use brown sugar because its particles are smaller. It is softer and gentler compared to regular white sugar. Especially since I use this scrub on my face, I don’t want to peel off my skin.  If you have sensitive skin, it is safer to use brown sugar.

Raw honey:  Raw honey is rich in antibacterial and probiotic properties. Honey helps in acne prevention and it is full of antioxidants that help in controlling premature aging.

  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • 2 TSP of raw/organic honey.  You can substitute honey with olive oil. Olive oil has important antioxidant which may help premature aging of the skin.
