My Daily Skin Care Routine: Morning Edition
Sometimes I feel I am the only girl who doesn’t have a comprehensive skin care routine. In the past I have bought products recommended by beauty bloggers and vloggers but guess what? I never used most of those products, some are still in their original pack untouched. Being that I am the up and go kind of person, I find it so hard to indulge in skin care products.
When I find something that works, I just stick to it and keep it moving. For me the more complicated the routine is, the angrier my skin gets. So you see even my skin behaves like me. We like it simple and straightforward. I have tried a variety of products and have been able to narrow down my morning routine to include just three products.
My day starts pretty early especially on days I have to go to work. I am usually out of the house by 530AM. So, there is no way I can afford to spend minutes and hours on my skin . In the mornings, my skin care routine is pretty simple and stress free. The goal for me is just for my skin to feel clean and healthy. So let’s get into the routine shall we?
Step 1: The first thing I do is wash my face with the Cetaphil facial cleanser. I got introduced to this facial cleanser sometime last year and so far, I love this product. This cleanser leaves my face soft and moisturized. I have dry skin, so any product that doesn’t dry me out is a winner for me. This product doesn’t make my skin dry. That is all I do to my face in the morning. I used to use a toner on my face in the past but I don’t anymore and so far I am happy with my skin.
Step 2: I move on to wash my body. I have a thing for Neutrogena skin care products. I find their products worth the price. To clean my entire body, I use the Neutrogena body clear body scrub.
Step 3: Moisturize and moisturize. this is the most important step for me because I have dry skin. I hate going out and looking ashy. I moisturize my skin with the Neutrogena body oil. The good thing about this oil is that it vanishes into my skin and it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy.
Also, my skin stay moisturize all day which is what I want. Also, sometimes I use ultra moisture coconut miracle oil lotion. This is another amazing product for my dry skin.
So there you have it, my basic morning skin care routine. I will be sharing my nighttime routine in another post.
While skin care is extremely important, identifying other triggers (lifestyle, food or even the products you are using) that could affect your skin is also important. I am in no way a beauty blogger or skin care specialist but these are some of the things I do to complement my skin care routine.
Tips To A Healthy Skin
- Eat healthy. It is important to identify those food that cause breakout to your skin and cut them off.
- Moisturize and exfoliate. This is also very important.
- Stay hydrated.
- If you can, supplement with vitamin.
- Pay attention to the products I use. Every product is not for you.
- Endeavor to always get a good sleep.
